Wilmer Lee Dechert II, known as Lee or Booty, was only 16 years old when he entered Trudeau Sanatorium. He was there 1 1/2 to 2 years and later spent some years in Arizona plus surgery a couple of times. After several years of battling T.B., he won this challenge. In his later life he was never troubled or too restricted by T.B. again. Lee kept in touch yearly with a distinguished doctor who was at Trudeau during his time there too, Dr. Seymour Farber. (Dr. Farber died sometime after June 1991.) Wonderful memories of Trudeau, the kind staff and the patients always remained. (From an undated note from Mrs. W. Lee Dechert II.)
