Sal's is a pizzeria that serves American style pizza. This means a thicker breadier/doughier crust than a traditional New York thin crust pizza, but still relatively thin. Their pizza contains a lot of cheese.

2009-06-05 11:33:38   Their pizza is just OK. I like the crust, but overall their wasn't enough sauce, and the sauce didn't have the right tang. The cheese was perfectly browned though. I have to say, out of the places in Ithaca, their slices are definitely the biggest, so the $2.40 a slice is actually a good deal in terms of quantity per dollar. —MattHh
