Waterloo Region Museum is open Monday through Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features engaging exhibit galleries that explore 12,000 years of Waterloo Region from the past to the present. The museum is also the gateway to Doon Heritage Village.

Doon Heritage Village represents a rural Waterloo County community and shows what life was like - on the farm, in homes, in shops and businesses - in the year 1914. In this exciting era, the automobile was replacing the horse and buggy; electricity was lighting homes and factories; George V was King and Canada was at the crossroads of the 20th century on the eve of the Great War.

A field trip to the Waterloo Region Museum is a one-of-a-kind interactive learning opportunity for students. Visiting the museum can bring curriculum to life and creates lasting memories.

The Waterloo Region Museum also provides services for special events, including meetings, weddings, birthdays, and corporate galas. Outdoor facilities are available for large groups to use.

Catering services cover small to grand requests, from a boxed lunch, to a casual reception with bar service, to a barbeque, or a gourmet plated dinner.
