Palmetto Bay is a village of about 23,000 residents in south Miami-Dade County.
It is known as the Village of Parks because of the number of parks (obviously) in it. They range in size and usage, from Coral Reef Park which is great for a walk or run, to Palmetto Bay Park which has a sports focus, to Bill Sadowski Park which is a nature reserve, and Thalata Park which has a lovely formal garden by the sea, great for a gentle stroll or your next big event.
Palmetto Bay also has fabuolous schools. Coral Reef Elementary is one of the best elementary schools in the county, and has a full time gifted program. Southwood Middle School is one of the best Arts and Performing Arts magnet schools in the county. Pametto High School is technically in Pinecrest, but it is the feeder school for our high schoolers and is also one of the best in the county.
Along US1 the shopping and business scene is going from strength to strength, as are our restuarants. Antiquing in Palmetto Bay is great fun, the largest antique emporium in Palmetto Bay is run by our current (2013) Mayor!
