49 McDowell is a bus route connecting northern Churchill Meadows to the Erin Mills Town Centre (off-peak) and Streetsville GO station (peak) using McDowell Drive and Winston Churchill Boulevard. The 49A variant to Streetsville meets all eight GO trains to and from Toronto.

History
The route was created in 2002 as residents moved into the new Churchill Meadows subdivisions. The routing originally went as far south as Tacc Drive in the west end and used Glen Erin Drive instead of Winston Churchill to reach the Erin Mills Town Centre terminal. In 2008, when route 41 - Thomas went into service, the routing was changed to the current one. Weekend service was introduced sometime in 2005 and cancelled on January 28, 2013.
