Mount Misery is the historical name of the area between Rowayton Avenue and Vanderbilt Avenue south of Devil's Garden Road. The name dates back at least as early as 1788.

Mount Misery may also refer to the area on the west side of West Rocks Road south of Linden Street. ¹
