7 Seas Lounge was a bar/cocktail lounge at 4001 MacArthur Blvd.
It was closed in 2009 after losing its liquor license when the owner bought stolen alcohol. The city of Oakland had been trying to close it for some time because of "violent and illegal activities" including selling alcohol to underage individuals. The day after the bar closed, there was a suspicious fire in the building, which also housed the Seagull Market. The market had been closed down earlier in the year for receiving stolen merchandise. 1
