The Olympia Food Co-Op is a collectively-manged non-profit cooperative organization that operates two stores in Olympia. The stores provides produce, bulk foods, supplements, gardening supplies, and other grocery and household items,
The co-op staff uses consensus decision-making.
The first store opened in downtown Olympia in 1977 at 121 Columbia Street. It relocated to the current Westside location, at 921 Rogers St. NW, in 1980. The second store, at 3111 Pacific Ave. SE, opened in 1994. The co-op staff is currently researching options for opening a third store in downtown Olympia.
Members of the co-op may vote in elections and run for the Board of Directors. Non-members pay 10% above the shelf price for items sold by the co-op.
