George Street is a one of the main commercial streets in Peterborough, just East of the Otonabee River, running one way southward from its start at Hilliard Street, where it splits away from Water Street North of downtown, to Sherbrooke Street where it becomes two-way until it passes Lansdowne Street and turns into Roger Neilson Way as it passes the Peterborough Memorial Centre.

Odd numbers are on the West side of the street. The North/South numbering starts at Lake Street.
