Cosmic Cantina features chicken, beef, steak and tofu in various dishes, such as burritos, quesadillas, chimichangas, tacos, nachos and salads. Most entrees run between $6 and $12. Some of their appetizers include chips with queso, salsa or guacamole. They offer Coca-Cola products, in addition to beer, sangria and margaritas.

On its website, Cosmic Cantina mentions its use of Himalayan Pink Salt and mountain spring water for all of their salt and water needs. They believe that “these two ingredients are keys to our diet and should be sourced accordingly.”

The main location for Cosmic Cantina can be found in Durham, off of Ninth Street, along with other popular restaurants such as Metro 8 Steakhouse and Charlie’s Pub and Grille. The Durham location is across the street from Zola, a craft gallery.

The second location is on East Franklin Street, in downtown Chapel Hill, across the street from the Varsity Theatre. This location is much smaller and is tucked into a shopping plaza with Johnny T-shirt, a favorite stop for Tar Heel attire.

Both locations provide late-night dining options, as they are open from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. Cosmic Cantina also delivers burritos to the UNC-CH Student Stores.
