Legends Nightclub is a gay club which features a dance floor, games and performances. Drag queens are regularly featured performing songs, dances, musicals, burlesque and stand-up comedy.

As expressed on their FAQ page, Legends is "what you want it to be."  While it is described as a gay club, people of any orientation are welcome and there is a fair distribution in attendees of every sexuality, gender expression, race and age.

Legends has both inside and outside areas, both with bottle service. There is a dance floor when you first enter, an outdoor patio and a performance area past that.

Under Spotlight Diva's, there are mini biography's on the drag queens that work there. They also include the names and social media of bartenders.

One must be 18 years and older to enter Legends and 21 and older to drink. The club closes at 2 a.m. and is open every day.

History

Legends was established in 1991 and has been "the leader in LGBT nightlife in the triangle for over 25 years," according to their About Us page (http://legends-club.com/about-us/).

Events

First Fridays: On the first Friday of every month, anyone and everyone is welcome to compete in a talent show. The winner is based off of audience applause. It is usually hosted by drag queen Kirby Kolby.

Legends Drag Race: Legends host a competition involving local queens competing in weekly challenges. It is comparable to the reality game show RuPaul's Drag Race (http://www.logotv.com/shows/rupauls-drag-race.) The challenges include creating a music video, garments and a commercial. Each week ends with the bottom queens lip-syncing "for their life." Recaps can be found on their website. (http://legends-club.com/drag-race/)

College Night: Every Friday, college students with a valid ID pay a reduced $3 cover charge.

Legends occasionally stars prominent drag queens from RuPaul's Drag Race. They have featured Adore Delano and Tyra Sanchez.

Legends offers seasonal events, such as their Halloween Bash, which is a costume contest.
