Raleigh Civic Minded Writing Society is a group of passionate civic minded advocates who contribute to the LocalWiki project with what they know about the people, places and things in Raleigh - especially the weird, little things. This is a collaborative, community-driven effort to share the local info about Raleigh, North Carolina.
Local News, Blogs and tribal knowledge is fading away. What if we had a single place on the Internet to write what you want to see in your community, and even organize around things you want to change.

What to Expect
- The writing topic will be on Transit.
- Open Mic Style! Looking for ten Raleighites to present a LocalWiki page you created or updated an existing page based on the civic topic for the evening. Share a a story from your LocalWiki page. Each person has a total of 3 minutes.
- Learn more about the LocalWiki Raleigh project, write about your favorite place, learn new ones, and meet great people.
