Trajectory Business Services, LLC is a Cary-based provider of firsthand buyer intelligence acquisition services. The firm engages the customers and former sales prospects of business-to-business organizations to elicit from them firsthand insights about their purchase decision-making. These insights in turn help the selling company's product, service, marketing and sales management make better business decisions.

Trajectory offers two primary programs:

  1. Win-loss analysis - Interviews (via Web-based survey and live telephone interaction) of the client's recent won and lost sales prospects to uncover purchase decision criteria and comparisons with competitive offerings.
  2. Customer advisory board - A regularly convened group of the client's VIP customer representatives, which advises on maximizing the value of the products and services they are buying from Trajectory's client.

As a third party, the firm positions itself as being uniquely able to provide the objectivity and focus necessary to obtain candid responses from clients' customers and former sales prospects, especially their lost sales prospects.

The firm also provides custom product management and marketing services.

Trajectory Business Services, LLC is owned and managed by Cary entrepreneur and businessman Jeffrey D. Smith. Mr. Smith is Pragmatic Marketing Certified® and holds an MBA degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
