Email Weekend Task Campaign

Create a task each weekend for the Triangle Wiki Community. Encourage everyone to contribute something very simple over the weekend.

  • 1/21 - What is your favorite Triangle restaurant? 
  • 1/28 - Post about something in your neighborhood. Trail? Store? Block party? Could be something you use daily or a special annual event. Up to you.
  • 2/4 - Post about your favorite recreation area. Falls lake? Umstead?

Email Week Campaigns

Create a email each week with the following info: Current page count, page count goal how to spread the word to get others involved.

Daily Featured Wiki Page

Help! Would someone be willing to own this task for one week and then pass on the responsibility to another organizer?

  • Post Daily examples of a TriangleWiki Page screen shots on the Triangle Wiki FB Page and via Twitter. "Today's featured page is....

Twitter Outreach

Send tweets to targeted individuals, businesses, places asking them to contribute one thing to the wiki.

Ask questions referencing the people who might know the answer. Hey, ______, when was the ______ group founded? Tell us on the wiki. (#putitonthewiki)

Targeted outreach/awareness

Missing posters – This place/thing is missing. If found, please post on the wiki. Could mail to stakeholders in places like historic landmarks, local businesses, etc.

Possible event

Scavenger hunt - Create target areas (downtown Cary, Raleigh parks, etc.) where people can go and start recording information for the wiki. The person who scavenges the most information for the wiki wins (something).
