Mount Carmel is a residential area surrounding Sequoia High School.  Each street name starts with a sequential letter of the alphabet.  It continues from Arch street to Upton between El Camino Real and Alameda de las Pulgas.

The neighborhood is named after the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on Grand and James Street.
