Chita's is a Mexican restaurant that serves seriously good eats. For starters, they cook their tortilla chips fresh on the spot! Everything on the menu is cheap and the servings are huge. The ambiance isn't as nice as Tres Hermanas, but that's OK. In particular, they have a wall-unit air conditioner, so it can get a bit hot in side. There are a few tables outside, but you might run into some shady characters walking by. On other hand, you might catch some nice eye candy walking in and out of Benny's, the bar next door, if the time is right.

They're one of the few places in the region that offers tacos and flautas made with flour tortillas. Glance into the kitchen and you're likely to see them whipping up some homemade goodness right in front of your eyes. The folks that run the place are very friendly. Someone should ask who Chita really is - perhaps a family member?

2007-09-07 11:19:30   I ate perhaps the least healthy burrito of my life there the other night. It was essentially a chicken super burrito that was DEEP FRIED and then slathered with delicious sauce and topped with shredded cheese. It was so delicious! Highly recommended! —BrianGingold
