Voted "Best Thai" restaurant by the Sacramento Magazine six years in a row (2001-2006) and awarded the Sacramento News & Review Reader's Choice Award five years in a row (2002-2006). They feature indoor and patio dining which have mist-ers / heaters for hot / cold days. Thai Basil's cooking was inspired by Prayoon Sununsangthong who passed her culinary style on to her daughters (Suleka, Wannipa, and Kannika).
They also offer Catering and Cooking Classes.
