WIC is a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, new mothers and young children eat well and stay healthy. Provides subsidies for healthy foods, information about nutrition, support and information about breastfeeding your baby, and help in finding health care and other community services in Sacramento County.

To be eligible for WIC, one must:

Be in a category served by WIC: Pregnant now or within the last six months; or Have a child under the age of 5 years

AND

Be income-eligible: Have a medium to low family income (working families may qualify). See the income limits at www.cdph.ca.gov/programs/wicworks/Documents/WIC-IncomeGuidelines-WIC.pdf

OR

Eligible for Medi-Cal, CalWORKS, or Food Stamps.
