Flows four miles along Soquel San Jose Road. It empties into West Branch Soquel Creek. (In the book Santa Cruz County Place Names: A Geographical Dictionary it says is joins Soquel Creek but that is farther south.) Steelhead trout have been found in Hester Creek. This is considered uncommon but not rare.

The banks of Hester Creek are extremely steep and tall. In winter, it is common to be able to hear the stream and not be able to see it.

Hester Creek School existed from 1901 to 1949. The building then became Hester Creek Church. Because of this historical context, the building is listed on the USGS maps.

Hester Creek Road is a gated private road off of Soquel San Jose Road. It is not open to the public.

Community Hester Creek is in Santa Cruz County, north of the town of Soquel.

History Named for Judge Craven Hester who owned land in the area.

Businesses The area is mostly residential. A few businesses are in the area, such as Hester Creek Farms, a plant nursery.

Hester Creek Road is not open to the public.
