The Mansion House, or Mansion House Hotel, was built in 1871 by architect Thomas Beck, who was also a state senator and secretary of state. It replaced the Pacific Exchange Hotel which was built in 1856. It has been the home to a variety of restaurants over the years, including The Mansion House Restaurant. Currently, New China Buffet operates out of the building. The Mansion House is #83001242 in the National Registry of Historic Places.

In 1995 the Museum of Art & History awarded Mansion House a Landmark Award. (The blue plaque).
