| Mission Statement |
| One of the two main purposes of the Santa Cruz Chapter of Omega Nu is to meet the charitable needs of the local community. Since the first charity grant was made following the 1906 earthquake, the group has given over 1.7 million dollars to individuals, families and organizations in need, with over $256,300 donated in just the past 5 years. |

According to their website, groups, families or individuals in need may apply in writing to Omega Nu. They ask that people include their requests for specific items, their costs and their name, phone number and address of a contact person. Omega Nu will provide for a variety of needs but they do not pay salaries. A financial statement is required and will be mailed to applicants upon receipt of a request for aid.

2011-08-12 13:34:17 I wanted to thank Omega Nu for the scolarship my grandchildren received at Scotts Valley Parks and Rec for swimming lessons. My grandson has cerebral palsey due to TBI, I cannot tell you of not only the joy it gave him to be in the water but how it has help him in moving and using more of his right side.
