There are many gay bars in San Francisco. They are mostly located in the Castro and the Folsom neighborhoods. The oldest gay bar is the Gangway in the Tenderloin.

While most of the gay bars hold lesbian nights, the lesbian bars are located in the Mission and Bernal Heights. 

There is a transgender club in the Tenderloin that is also drag club. Many of the gay bars also host drag shows.
