My name is Asia Croson and I want you to feel good.
Sometimes, I do my hair, take time to apply makeup, put a cute dress on and I feel AMAZING. And I think "How is this day going to be any different because I feel like I look sooo good?"... I don't know. But the day IS better!
And sometimes I wish I could freeze that day and look like that all the time...
Which is where photography comes in.
From my very first photoshoot, I realized the amazing transformation that comes from seeing great photos of yourself. That first shoot left my subject in happy tears, saying “I’ve never felt so good about myself!”… and I told her she was crazy, because she had just graduated top in her class, a YEAR early, and was being recruited to one of the top universities in the nation.
And those photos made her feel better than THAT? Yeah, I was onto something.
So I taught myself photography, started Acro Photography, and started taking pictures of people ALL THE TIME.
And I haven't stopped!
I think every girl, woman, boy, man, family, couple, (just everybody!) should have amazing photos of themselves to remind them "That's right! I am beautiful, happy, and full of life", even on the days where those feelings aren't easily accessible. You still are beautiful- it's still 100% you!
And I know I'm beautiful. Because my mom told me so when I was little and I have never forgotten it ;) And, more importantly, because I know that beauty comes from the joy inside… the joy I find eating Oreos, sitting at coffee shops, dancing to bad Top 40 music with my best friends, or traveling the world. And, most abundantly, the joy I get from showing others their beauty in the present moment through my photography.
