FarmBot is an open-source hardware/software project spearheaded by San Luis Obispo visionary Rory Aronson.

It includes hardware specs with which you can build automated, remotely-piloted, gardening tools; the software with which you can program and pilot it; and a database of region-specific gardening techniques. A companion project, OpenFarm, is a collaboratively-curated database of gardening information and data about plant varieties.

FarmBot.io is the commercial version of the project. It creates and sells versions of FarmBot as kits. It is organized as a B (“benefit”) Corporation.
