Grassroots II, Inc. is a San Luis Obispo organization that help San Luis Obispo residents in need. The mission of Grassroots is to host a community thanksgiving dinner feeding approximately 2000 people, provide Christmas for 100 disadvantaged families, and serve as a year-round emergency food pantry to those in immediate need.

Grassroots II was established in 1972 as a nonprofit, anti-poverty agency. The organization was the successor to the San Luis Obispo Grassroots center, which was run by the Economic Opportunity Commission until they stopped funding 6 local centers in 1972. The San Luis Obispo center appealed to the city for assistance in staying open until it could find other funds, and the city agreed in spring 1972 to underwrite the center. The organization became a city-subsidized program.

The organization was established as an anti-poverty agency, and helped families find homes in San Luis Obispo, provided Thanksgiving dinners, offered a bus token program for senior citizens, and provided support for low-income people.

Maxine Lewis was a director of Grassroots II.
