ENDANGERED SPECIES DAY

This annual recognition of our many endangered species is held the third Friday in May.  It has been created to provide opportunities about the importance of protecting endangered species.  It is celebrated at local, state, and national parks, along with wildlife refuges, aquariums, zoos, gardens, libraries, and many other places.  Go to the web site for lots more information, including a link where you can send postcards of endangered species.  You can find an event, enter an art contest, and much more.    www.stopextinction.org
