This museum and wildlife rehabilitation center is one of the oldest wildlife rehabilitation centers in the world. It features a wild animal hospital and rehabilitated animals that cannot be released back into the wild. You can see a bald eagle, gray fox, and other animals. A mountain lion formerly was a resident here. She spent 6 months out of the year at a wildlife sanctuary and 6 months at the museum.
Formerly, the museum occupied the nearby East Bay Mud pumping station building next door.
