Harmony on the River 7:30 p.m.-9:00p.m. River Walk Park Relax and enjoy music by the river every Tuesday evening starting June 17 thru August 5th. Bring a picnic or visit one of the food vendors. Our mission is to share the rich history, the tradition, the music, and the subculture of Tango with the Davis community. Learning Argentine Tango may seem like a daunting task, but Tango is actually a simple, fun, and very additive dance to learn. So if you can give a hug and walk, then you can learn this beautiful dance. The first 8-week tango fundamentals series is for everyone, from a complete beginner wanting to explore tango to an intermediate level dancer who is striving to become a better tanguero/tanguera. Fall [Sep-Nov]

  • Neighbor's Fair -The day is filled with exhibits, crafts, great food and exciting entertainment! The kids pavilion is the place for arts and crafts, puppet shows and a bounce ride. Don’t miss the food court featuring barbecue specialties and Indian, Russian, and Mexican cuisine, in addition to vegetarian choices from the City of the Dharma Realm. Every early October.

Winter [December]

  • Holiday Tree Lighting - Hosted by the West Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, the tradition continues of the annual tree lighting. The event will take place the first Friday in December in 2007. The festivities begin at 6 pm in front of the Civic Center with a program of music and carols by local community groups and holiday refreshments. The event also marks the first appearance of the season for jolly old Santa, who'll be posing for family photos. Call the Chamber for more information, (916) 371-7042.
