The trees planted on the City Hall lot include the invasive weed species Chinese Tallow Tree (Triadica sebifera) and two species native to California, though neither is native to WoodlandCoast Live Oak (Quercus agrifoliaand Coast Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) are the two species native to other parts of California. Other non-native trees and shrubs planted at City Hall include European White Birch (Betula pendula), Deodar Cedar (Cedrus deodara), Chinese Hackberry (Celtis sinensis), Maidenhair Tree (Ginkgo biloba), Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica), Chinese Pistache (Pistacia chinensis), London Plane (Platanus × hispanica), Willow Oak (Quercus phellos), Southern Live Oak (Quercus virginiana)and Saw-leaf Zelkova (Zelkova serrata).
