Clanton Avenue and Clanton Way together run roughly east-west for 0.4 mile between West Street and Elm Street. They are both situated just south of Cross Street and just north of Pendegast Street.

Clanton Avenue becomes Clanton Way when it passes east of Cleveland Street. Clanton Way intersects Cleveland Street one house width further north than Clanton Avenue does.

Clanton Avenue

Clanton Avenue is a two-block-long street that runs roughly east-west between West Street and Cleveland Street. It intersects McKinley Avenue, at which Clanton Avenue is offset slightly to the southeast. East of McKinley Avenue, Clanton Avenue curves a bit and slants slightly to the northeast.

The west end of Clanton Avenue faces the Woodland Cemetery across West Street.

Clanton Way

Clanton Way is a one-block-long street that runs east-west to link Cleveland Street and Elm Street in south-central Woodland.

Clanton Way has been planted with street trees by the city. The street trees include Valley Oak (Quercus lobata), which is native to Woodland, and Modesto Ash/Arizona Ash (Fraxinus velutina), which is native to other parts of California. Non-native street trees on Clanton Way include European Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus 'Fastigiata'), Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis), Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica), and Prairie Crabapple (Malus ioensis 'Prariefire').
