Sports Park Drive runs west-east between East Street and Matmor Road, along the north edge of the Woodland Sports Park. West of East Street, it becomes County Road 24A.

From west to east, Sports Park Drive intersects Sills Street, Reno Street, and Bounds Lane, all of which head north only from Sports Park Drive.

Sports Park Drive has been planted with street trees by the city. The street trees include Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia), which is native to California though not native to Woodland. They also include Trident Maple (Acer buergerianum), Freeman Maple (Acer × freemanii), Deodar Cedar (Cedrus deodara), Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica), Southern Magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora), Japanese Crabapple (Malus floribunda), Black Tupelo/Sour Gum (Nyssa sylvatica), Chinese Pistache (Pistacia chinensis), Scarlet Oak (Quercus coccinea), Holly Oak (Quercus ilex), Northern Red Oak (Quercus rubra), Little-leaf Linden (Tilia cordata), and Saw-leaf Zelkova (Zelkova serrata).
