The Labor Day Parade and Festival has been held annually on Labor Day in Nicolaus since 1991. The event begins with a pancake breakfast, followed by the parade, which moves through the town to the festival grounds. Live entertainment takes over from there. The event lasts all day and features a contest for biggest homegrown vegetables, as well as children's games, a bounce house, face painting, live entertainment, a raffle, and food. Proceeds benefit the children of South Sutter County.
