Sugar Pine Peak is the highest peak in Yuba County, with an elevation of 4,825 feet (more than twice as high as the Sutter Buttes). Although the summit is in Yuba County, some of the lower parts of the mountain extend into Sierra County. It is located northeast of North Star and is part of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.
