The Yuba City Senior Center provides people age 50 and older with information, health seminars, physical fitness activities, artistic expression groups, intellectual exchange, stimulating travel, and a comfortable social atmosphere for meeting new friends. It sells Activity Cards that allow cardholders to participate in Senior Center classes for one year. Financial assistance is available to those who need it, with proof of income or financial need.
Activities include barbecues, billiards, bingo, blood pressure checks, bocce ball, body toning, bridge, ceramics, beginning and intermediate computer classes, country line dance, dominoes, drawing, driving safety classes, email assistance, energy saving worksops, fit ball, genealogy, handyman assistance, home decorating classes, ice cream socials, insurance workshops, investment advice, a library, memorial planning, needlecraft, oil painting, pinochle, poker, quilting, a singles group, t'ai chi, walking, watercolor, regular weekday luncheons, an annual yard sale, and yoga classes.
