| Chris Botti (born October 12, 1962), is an American trumpeter and composer. He grew up in Corvallis where he attended Crescent Valley High School. In 2013, Botti won the Grammy Award in the Best Pop Instrumental Album category. Over the years he has performed with Frank Sinatra, Buddy Rich, and Paul Simon, among others. In 2012 he was featured on OPB's "Oregon Art Beat" for his "Corvallis Homecoming" where he played with the Corvallis-OSU Symphony Orchestra and shared with local high school students. (see below) |
