The Michigan Bell Telephone Co. Building is located at the corner of Division and Lyon in downtown Grand Rapids.

Hauntings

The building is reportedly haunted by the ghosts of Warren and Virginia Randall. In 1910, Warren killed his wife on the site (previously the Judd-White House) by beating her with his wooden leg before killing himself. Before the Bell Building was built in 1924, there were persistent reports of screams coming from the house and those who entered reported hearing the sound of Warren Randall's wooden leg thumping against the floor. According to various reports, the ghosts eventually inhabited the Bell Building and are responsible for a rash of late-night calls to residents in Grand Rapids.
