Dorchester and Corrine Everett operated Everett's and lived behind the building at 45 1/2 Broadway in 1948.  With his father Fred Everett he bought the building in 1935.

Pvt. Latour Killed
Pvt. Albert J. Latour, son of Mrs. Elizabeth Latour of 45 Broadway, Saranac Lake was killed in action on September 26 in Italy. He has been over seas since March, 1944 and his last letter home was dated the day he was killed. He is also survived by his brother, S. Sgt. Gordon F. Latour who is also stationed in Italy.
