Edmund Moody was a son of Francis L. and Sarah Keith Moody. He was an Adirondack guide from Vermontville.

Edmund Moody

Edmund Moody, an Adirondack guide, died at 6 o'clock this morning at Saranac Lake General Hospital where he had been a patient since Dec. 28.

For the last few years, Mr. Moody had been working at the Stockade Trading Post in the summer and at the Olympic Bobrun in the winter. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1500.

Mr. Moody was born Oct. 4, 1904 in Vermontville, a son of Francis L. and Sarah Keith Moody.

Survivors are his widow, the former Loretta Parker whom he married in Saranac Lake on Sept. 30, 1926; three daughters, Mrs. Fay Rice of Saranac Lake, Mrs. Barbara Beaudin, of Westminster, Calif., Mrs. Albert Brady of North Adams, Mass.; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home beginning Tuesday afternoon. An Elks Service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the rector of St. Luke's Church, the Rev. Peter Hill officiating. Interment will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
