Jack E. Buehler

Jack E. Buehler, a resident of this area for 54 years, died Sunday evening at Saranac Lake General Hospital at the age of 77.

Mr. Buehler had been a caretaker for private estates including those of Charles Swain, Mrs. Peter Summerer, Jack Lewis, and for the Steiner Camp. He was for many years the judge in the Saranac Lake Ice Guessing Contests and decided the official time the ice left the lake.

Mr. Buehler was born in Utica, a son of Christopher and Catherine Jeko Buehler. His wife, the former Addie Hanmer, survives.

Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home beginning this evening. The funeral service will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the pastor of the Methodist Church, the Rev. Daniel Partridge, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Anyone wishing to remember Mr. Buehler may make donations to the Cancer Society.
