Collegetown Family Dental is a dental office two blocks above College Ave., near Cornell University. The office has one main dentist Dr. Ashanti Braxton, the only participating provider of the Cornell dental Insurance offered by First Ameritas. She also accepts insurance from Excellus, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, and EBS-RMSCO. Services provided include: teeth whitening, ultrasonic cleaning and hygiene, examination, restorative dentistry, bridges, porcelain veneers, cosmetic fillings, dental implants, crowns, ViziLite Plus oral cancer screening, full mouth debridements, scaling and root planing, and nitrous oxide.

2009-12-22 17:25:49   I recently switched dentists from Aspen Dental to this place. I couldn't be happier with the service. Dr. Braxton was very professional, and the Hygienist was super friendly. The cleaning I received here was more thorough than Aspen, and they are really close to Cornell, so I can get there without taking a bus. Also there is a $10 off flyer for your first visit, one of which you can find at the health insurance office on the 2nd floor of 409 college ave (there is also some in the lobby of the office). It was great because Cornell's insurance doesn't cover fluoride for adults, so with the coupon I was able to basically get it for only 7 dolars. I'm glad to see that there is finally a dentist in collegetown that takes the Cornell insurance, it is so convenient for students and faculty who work/study on campus during the day and can't drive to get to their appointments. —MattHh
