Freedom Boulevard is a West-East thoroughfare that starts from downtown Watsonville at the intersection of Main Street/Highway 152 in the City of Watsonville , and runs through the community of Freedom and the town of Corralitos. The road ends at Bonita Drive/Highway 1, (exit #433A).  The intersection of Highway 1 at Freedom Boulevard/Bonita Drive, around 1930 was called Rob Roy Junction.  San Andreas Road was at this intersection, and went to what was called Rob Roy Junction.  This was before the widening of that section of Highway 1.  In 1936, Rob Roy Junction was renamed to La Selva Beach.  The intersection of Highway 1 at Freedom Blvd./San Andreas Road, kept the name of Rob Roy Junction, until the widening of Highway 1 from Rob Roy Junction south to Watsonville was completed.  It was at this time, the intersection/overpass on Highway 1 at San Andreas Road (exit #432) was created, and Bonita Drive was extended as frontage roadway.
