History
This stretch of Bloor Street West once was home to the eastern edge of an earlier version of The Danforth with many greek owned businesses and social clubs. Today many in the Eritrean and Ethiopian communities are making this neighbourhood their own with numerous African restaurants, grocery stores and events.
On Good Friday 2009, the 804 Bloor Street Fire affected Lui's Electronics and apartments on second and third floors.

Sing with the High Park Choirs of Toronto! Divisional choirs for children aged 5 to 18. http://www.highparkchoirs.org Despite the name, the choirs include children from 55 different schools across Toronto. We're a short ride west of Bloorcourt Village in Bloor West Village. Artistic staff include internationally-renowned conductor Zimfira Poloz, Margaret Stanfield, Marina Filippova and Sheldon Rose.
