Location
Your exciting portal into the WEST END!
Boundaries
Montrose Ave. to about Dufferin along Bloor St. W. South to Harbord, and North to Dupont; all boundaries are a bit grey as they blend into our neighbouring neighbourhoods.

Check out the best Ethiopian restaurants, a chillin' Chilean bar (The Concord Cafe), karaoke on Wednesdays (at Hurricane's), or some kickin' chicken at any of the numerous churrasquerias along Bloor Street between Montrose-ish and Dufferin. You can buy food from all over the world and pick up some nice local produce at the many independent fruit and veggie stores, or visit one of the old world butchers who take pride in their free range meats (Vince Gasparros, or Venezia sp?). Avoid the Coffee Time at Roxton Rd, unless you need to pick up some crack, and same goes for the West Side BBQ which is undergoing scrutiny re it's liquor license as we speak. Don't forget that you can pick up musical instruments or sound equipment at the local Long and McQuade located right at Concord and Bloor. And for all of the Greek men out there, we are home to two private social clubs where dominoes and cards prevail at all hours of the day and night!

not sure, will look into it... :)

Living Here

Super close to the Annex, Bloor West Village, Little Italy, Kensigton. Bike friendly side streets and easy to get to UofT along Harbord in the Bike Lane. Get off the TTC at Ossington on either Delaware or Ossington. Shop at independent grocers for all of your food needs, including a somewhat pricey yet convenient bulk/health food store where you can also find fair trade coffee to take out in styrofoam cups (weird!). A bit sketchy at 3am east of Ossington, but relatively safe the rest of the time. Lots of young families, skint students, and older Portuguese/Greek/Italian grandparents with killer gardening skills. Always a good find at the end of the month on the sidewalk as far as furniture goes as there are always students moving in and out (of course May first is the best month for scavenging). Dog park not far away in the Bickford Park Neighbourhood, and Christie Pits is alive with history and an outdoor pool!

Fun for Kids

An interesting mix of Greek, Portuguese, Ethiopian, Young Hipster Artsy Types, and Chileans all living in the last of the affordable Bloor St. strips.
