Fourth Street runs north-south between Beamer Street and Homewood Drive in central Woodland. Fourth Street becomes Bliss Avenue when it passes north of Beamer Street.

In order from north to south, 4th Street intersects all of the following:

  1.  Grafton Street (which heads east only from 4th Street)
  2. Clover Street
  3. North Street
  4. Hope Alley
  5. Court Street
  6. Dead Cat Alley
  7. Main Street
  8. Dog Gone Alley (west only)
  9. Lincoln Avenue
  10. Oak Avenue
  11. Cross Street
  12. Pendegast Street
  13. Gum Avenue (east only)
  14. Marshall Avenue/Marshall-Everman Alley
  15. South Everman Alley (east only)
  16. Cottage Drive (east only)

Along the way, it passes by the Yolo County Law Library, Fourth & Hope Food Distribution Center, La Fogata, Woodland Parent Nursery School, and Everman Park.

Fourth Street has been planted with street trees by the city. The street trees include six invasive weed species: Glossy Privet (Ligustrum lucidum), Purple-leaf Plum/Cherry Plum (Prunus cerasifera), Flowering Pear/Callery Pear (Pyrus calleryana), Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia 'Purple Robe'), Chinese Tallow Tree (Triadica sebifera), and Mexican Fan Palm (Washingtonia robusta). However, they also include three species that are native to WoodlandWestern Sycamore (Platanus racemosa), Valley Oak (Quercus lobata), and Interior Live Oak (Quercus wislizeni). Additionally, Modesto Ash/Arizona Ash and Coast Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) are planted as street trees on 4th Street and are native to other parts of California. Other non-native trees on 4th Street include Trident Maple (Acer buergerianum), Red Maple (Acer rubrum), Italian Alder (Alnus cordata), Strawberry Tree (Arbutus unedo), European Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus 'Fastigiata'), European Hackberry (Celtis australis), Common Hackberry (Celtis occidentalis), Chinese Hackberry (Celtis sinensis), Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis), Chinese Fringe Tree (Chionanthus retusus), Chitalpa (Chitalpa tashkentensis), English Hawthorn (Crataegus laevigata), Maidenhair Tree (Ginkgo biloba), Kentucky Coffeetree (Gymnocladus dioicus), Goldenrain Tree (Koelreuteria paniculata), Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica), American Sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua), Star Magnolia (Magnolia stellata), Dawn Redwood (Metasequoia glyptostroboides), Japanese Black Pine (Pinus thunbergii), Mt. Atlas Pistache (Pistacia atlantica), Chinese Pistache (Pistacia chinensis), Cape Cheesewood (Pittosporum viridiflorum), London Plane (Platanus × hispanica), Holly Oak (Quercus ilex), Cork Oak (Quercus suber), Idaho Locust (Robinia × ambigua 'Idahoensis'), Chinese Elm (Ulmus parvifolia), and Saw-leaf Zelkova (Zelkova serrata).
