Lemen Avenue runs roughly west-east between East Street and Matmor Road. Upon passing west of East Street, it becomes North Street. At its west end, it slants to the northeast and intersects Yolano Drive (twice, heading north only from Lemen Avenue both times). It then heads due east and intersects Donnelly Circle (three times, north only in all cases).

The far west end of Lemen Avenue has been planted with a dense clump of street trees to screen off an adjacent parking lot from view. The street trees include Trident Maple (Acer buergerianum), European Hornbeam (Carpinus betulus 'Fastigiata'), English Hawthorn (Crataegus laevigata), Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica), Chinese Pistache (Pistacia chinensis), English Columnar White Oak (Quercus robur 'Fastigiata'), Northern Red Oak (Quercus rubra), Little-leaf Linden (Tilia cordata), and American Elm (Ulmus americana).
