Encinal is an unincorporated town in Sutter County. It is located south of Live Oak; southwest of Sunset; west of Lomo; northwest of Sullivan, Berg, and Yuba City; north of Sanders; northeast of Sutter; east of the Sutter Buttes; and southeast of Pennington. Its elevation is 69 feet.

The native plant community of Encinal is central oak woodland.
