Google Maps does accept corrections. Once the suggestion has been verified, an error is corrected.

Santa Cruz

If you type in a location for North Branciforte Avenue, Santa Cruz, CA  the map shows a location as Brancifore Drive instead.

Google Maps showed Olive Street without the one way section. (Fixed)

Your Google Maps problem report has been reviewed, and you were right!

Olive Street is one way going northwest from Toledo to King Street.

Watsonville Street view goof (2012)

Google maps sends a car to photograph a street view of selected routes. Normally, when the routes cross, there is a slight change in traffic. On rare occasions you can see a change in features if there is a delay between when one route is photographed and the cross route is photographed later. As happened in Watsonville.

Following Peck Street in Watsonville, it crosses Union Street to meet Trafton Street.. On the first click to move the view across Union Street to Trafton Street, the path appears blocked by a fenced driveway. On the second click to move the view forward, the street is suddenly clear again. The shadow in the first and second view is from the car with cameras atop the roof. There is no longer a vehicle entrance to Trafton Street from the south. See the entry on Trafton Street to see a photo of the finished construction.

Felton Area

Google Maps has an active policy to correct errors noticed by users. In the past some of the corrected errors have been in the Felton area. All of the following errors were corrected in 2010.

Listing the wrong location of the Big Creek Fire Station. (Fixed Nov. 29, 2012)

Listing the Fall Creek Unit of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park as Fall Creek State Park.(Fixed)

Listing Fall Creek Drive as changing names to Fall Creek Avenue when it does not.(Fixed)

Listing Empire Grade as Empire Grade Road.(Fixed)

Soquel

Google maps shows a North Main Street and a South Main Street in Soquel. There is only a Main Street in Soquel. There is no North/South difference.
