Laurel Street runs east-west between College Street and 2nd Street. Situated just south of Oak Avenue and just north of Cross Street, it intersects Bay Leaf Alley, 1st Street, and Bay Nut Alley (which heads south only from Laurel Street).

Laurel Street has been planted with street trees by the city. The street trees include Interior Live Oak (Quercus wislizeni), which is native to Woodland. Non-native street trees on Laurel Street include Chitalpa (Chitalpa tashkentensis), Goldenrain Tree (Koelreuteria paniculata), Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica), Chinese Pistache (Pistacia chinensis) and London Plane (Platanus × hispanica).
